Continuing our Coastal Path¦Golly walk

27 November, 9:00 am

—with the NORTHERN SUBURBS BRANCH

Note we are meeting an hour earlier than normal so we can finish before it gets too hot.

We will meet at the Indian Ocean Marine Research Centre, 86 West Coast Drive (between Hale St and Elvire St), Watermans—the only building on the west side of the road. Park on left-hand side of car park. We will then car pool to Trigg, leaving some cars at the research centre, our return destination.

An opportunity to think about some of the things we learnt from our guest speaker this month as we continue our journey along the coastal path. This year we start at Trigg Island and walk to Watermans Bay (approx. 2.75km) via numerous other bays. We will be able to view some of the restoration work done by the volunteers of Stirling Natural Environment Coastcare (SNEC), co-ordinated by Nats members Rae and Walter Kolb, before enjoying refreshments at SNEC’s depot. It will be a mix of hard paths and walks on sandy beaches.

Come prepared for a swim and snorkel if it’s hot.
