Talitha Huston was secretly putting together a book called Backyard Birds of the Perth Hills when she was 14 -16 yrs old unbeknown to her parents. She presented them with her book , professionally printed, just after her 16th birthday, as a Christmas present. The maps are hand painted with water colours and all the photos are her own.
Her book is not only an identification and information guide, but also includes photography tips for most of the birds. Talitha has also produced a video on local birds which she will be showing.
Her book will be available for purchase.
