Monitoring at Yunderup Field Station – CANCELLED

During this excursion to our Yunderup field studies centre on Culeenup Island, Shire of Murray we will carry out an invertebrate (light trapping) and plant survey in conjunction with the WA Insect Study Society. We aim to photograph and describe the species and the faunal activities that might occur during this visit.

Young naturalists are encourage to participate and learn, stay for one day or the whole weekend. Club members are welcome to come for one or both days.

Members staying overnight need to bring bedding/sleeping bag and pillowcase, food and drinks, insect repellent, head torch, etc. Up to 12 people can sleep at the field studies centre (3 rooms with 2 bunk beds).

There is a 4 ring hotplate to cook meals and a microwave. Cost for weekend stay (Friday and Saturday night): members $30, juniors $15, visitors $40. Cost for day visit: members and visitors $5 per day, juniors $2.50 per day. Pay on the day. As places are limited, RSVP is required.
