Night Visit to Karakamia Sanctuary—with the Main Club & Young Nats
18 November, 6:00 pm
Note: ‘Young Nats’ must be at least 6 years old and be able to walk the distance and must be accompanied by a parent/responsible adult. The walk takes 2 hours and for some of that time we stop and listen to information on that section.
Location: Karakamia is an Australian Wildlife Conservancy Sanctuary near Chidlow. For further information See the Venue details box including map for directions.
Time: 6.15 pm sharp. It is very important that get to the site on time. We tend to get there just before dusk, which changes throughout the seasons. There is an electric fence around the property and the gate can be unlocked, 30 minutes beforehand. So please aim to arrive 15 minutes beforehand. Note: the public gate will only be unlocked 30 minutes prior to the walk start time.
Details: We will be walking round a circuit and hearing a great deal of fascinating information about the history of the sanctuary and what is designed to do.
Cost: They charge $20 per adult, $15 concession including seniors’ card and $60 per family (2 adults and 2 children). You can pay via EFTPOS or cash on the night of your walk. There is no minimum but they do take a maximum of 15 people on a tour. If they have more than 15 people booked on a night we will put on a second guide and run two tours on the same night.
