Speaker: Dr Peter Downes, Curator of Minerals and Meteorites, WAM

The new Western Australian Museum Boola Bardip opened in November 2020. Peter Downes will describe some of WA’s rich mineral heritage that is on display in the Origins gallery of the museum. In addition to curatorial duties, Dr Downes works extensively in characterising the mineralogy of mineral deposits in Western Australia. Over the last few years, he was involved in the development of the Origins gallery in the new Western Australian Museum Boola Bardip.
