Wildflowers at the Gravity Discovery Centre
24 November, 11:00 am-1:00 pm
Join us for a guided wildflower walk around the centre, where—amongst other blooms—there should be excellent shows of Morrison (Verticordia nitens) and the start of the Christmas Tree (Nuytsia floribunda) flowering. Wendy Morris will be our guide; she has been guiding walks at the centre for some years now.
After the walk , stay for lunch at 12.15pm (either BYO or get something from the onsite café, in which case the GDC would like us to pre-order a week beforehand; set menu options available from Wendy or the GDC). There’s also an option to take the scientific tour of the centre. See ‘Something for everyone’ for more details.
N.B. Bookings will be required if you want to do the tour after lunch—do these through the centre.
The Wildflower walk is free. Could you please use RSVP above to let us know you are are coming.
Scientific tour: $14 (special group price). Lunch options: call GDC or Wendy by 13 November at the latest, stating if you wish to lunch at the cafe and/or do a science display tour ( in addition to the Wildflower tour).
