The meeting began late as there were problems with the connection to the projector and so the group huddled together around the computer screen to see the presentations.
Proceedings began by welcoming Bert Rabone back after a sudden, serious illness and he is now back on form.
Sightings included a Willy Wagtails nest being raided by Ravens who took the eggs.
Then came reports of Raven attacking Osprey and Black Cockatoos in the local area.
Members reported sightings of orchids such as Scented and Leopard. Long-necked Tortoises have been seen crossing the road beside Lake Richmond to lay eggs in nearby gardens. The locals are advised on how to protect the eggs.
The first presentation was photos from the Club trip to Cue in August, taken by Bob Goodale and Lynette.
The second presentation was made by Chris Punter on his recent visit, with Judith, to Langkawi, an island in Malaysia. The name means Brahmini Kite which is prevalent in the area. The island has a Geo and National Park and a lot of wildlife, as well rubber plantations and a limited amount of tourism . Photos included a Flying Lemur, monkeys, bats, bees with singular hives, a Monitor in the Mangroves, and a Mangrove Snake.
