Mid-West Wildflowers Tour

Following the winter rains WA wildflowers burst into bloom and transform the rugged golden outback landscape into a brightly coloured wonderland. The trip covers a diverse array of landscapes, from the farmlands of the Wheatbelt, to the gorges of Kalbarri National Park, to the northern sand plains around Eneabba, Badgingarra and Lesueur National Park.  

Golden Outback Expedition

Discover the hidden beauty of Western Australia’s golden outback. We explore the Helena & Aurora Ranges, a magnificent banded ironstone formation. It’s ancient, it’s unique, and there are species here that are not found anywhere else on the planet. At this time of the year, the area should still have a good display of wildflowers. We also visit old gold mining towns to discover their rich history as well as visit Lake Ballard.

South West National Parks Tour

Few areas in Australia are blessed with the number and variety of national parks found in WA’s south west. They offer breathtaking beauty and diversity – rugged coastlines, sandy beaches, magnificent wildflowers and some of the world’s tallest forests. You will also experience a vast array of habitats where you will see other wildlife. We’ll be walking through open woodlands, outback arid areas, an offshore island, coastal heaths, peppermint trees and karri forests.

We have chosen a selection of the regions finest natural highlights on this ten-day tour.

Our guide Ian Hutton, is Lord Howe Island’s resident expert and a biologist, naturalist and photographer. He will show you in seven days what would take you weeks to discover on your own. The beautiful landscape is dominated by the twin peaks of Mount Gower and Mount Lidgbird, both of which tower above the central lowlands and the surrounding sea.
