Greetings from the Australian Naturalists Network Steering Committee

as we all head into 2019 natural history activities.

I’m attaching the Minutes GM2018 Anglesea held in Anglesea towards the end of ANN2018.

ANN2018 was highly successful and greatly enjoyed by the 74 participants from all states and territories except for the Northern Territory. The Get-Together was hosted by Victoria under the auspices of the South East Australian Naturalists Association (SEANA). Our thanks go to the members of the organising subcommittee, convenor John Gregurke, treasurer Geoff Harris and Geraldine Harris and Joan Pitaro, along with the many helpers along the way.

Regarding the minutes, do note in particular:-

Item 5.2 (encouraging clubs to submit material for the ANN website),

Item 5.3 re the ANN Register,

Item 7.1 (Stanthorpe FNC’s very welcome offer to host ANN2020 in the southern border region of Queensland) and

Item 7.3.2 re the future of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan. I shall soon circulate some material relating to the latter item.

Phil Rayment, Secretary ANN Steering Committee
