DESCRIPTION:Note. due to a double booking we have to change the venue. The meeting will now be held at the Undercroft Bridge Club\, Ron Chamberlain Drive\, Duncraig – park in the car park on the east side of the building.  \nCome a long and hear researcher Sarah Visser talk about some of the cool fauna she has found in the GVD. \nThe great Victoria Desert is one of the world’s most precious biodiversity hotspots – a special place that is like nowhere else in the world. The area is especially remarkable for its hardy and often elusive wildlife\, much of which is found nowhere else. Despite the harsh conditions\, it supports a myriad of mammals and a rich variety of reptiles\,  and birds especially adapted to survive with little water. These animals rely on deep burrows\, specialised diets\, and clever behaviour\, making the desert a stronghold of unique and resilient Australian fauna. \nAlso a short presentation by this year’s ECU Serventy Memorial Prize Winner\, Ellie Simpson. \nPhoto.
