Excursion Fremantle Shipwrecks Museum

31 May , 10:30 am 12:00 pm

Dive into the fascinating history of Australia’s oldest shipwrecks. The WA Shipwrecks Museum is recognised as the foremost maritime archaeology museum in the southern hemisphere. Steeped in history, the museum galleries house hundreds of relics from ships wrecked along WA’s treacherous coastline, including the original timbers from Batavia (wrecked in 1629), the de Vlamingh Dish, and also countless artefacts from the Dutch shipwrecks Zuytdorp, Zeewijk and Vergulde Draeck.

Getting there: There is nearby paid car parking and it is a 10-15 minute walk from the train station and bus terminus.
