iNaturalist Workshop
3 October , 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm

Are you curious about the names of plants, fungi and animals you see in the bush, or wondered if it was native or introduced, common or rare? Then this workshop is for you!
In this workshop you will learn the fun and interactive way of sharing your observations, identifying your organisms, and joining projects, as well as getting hands on experience with the iNaturalist application (app) on your smart device (phone/tablet/laptop). Your contributions to this app / platform can create research quality data for scientists working to better understand and protect nature, and you will be able to join our community of >400,000 citizen scientists, all linked with the Atlas of Living Australia.
The workshop is free but please register as places are limited. Please install the iNaturalist app on your smart device(s) and create an account prior to attending. Otherwise, we will help you set it up during the workshop. Bring your smart device(s) with you to gain the best experience.
The workshop will be run by Jolanda Keeble, Rye Beaver and Arlene Quinn.
