The September meeting was a Members’ night and featured photographic presentations by Colin Prickett and Daniel Heald. The first presentation was from Colin Prickett who showed a number of photographs taken during the recent KRMB outing to Sullivan Rock together with photographs of orchids, fungi and hairy caterpillars found in local nature reserves over the past month or so.

Daniel Heald then showed a number of photos of Jewel Beetles and Longicorn Beetles. He had photos of a large number of species of each type outlining the amazing diversity that exists within the beetle family.

Andrew Motherwell then showed us some specimens of spring flowering plants found in his coastal garden. As usual, Andrew made us work for our supper, inviting the audience to identify each specimen in turn, not an easy task for those of us that are not botanical experts. Thanks to all presenters.
