A small group gathered for the August meeting. It commenced with Acting Chair Colin Prickett sharing the outcomes of the meeting of Branch Chairs that had taken place on the previous Saturday. Colin then had the pleasure of presenting the perpetual trophy for Naturalist of the Year to this year’s worthy winner, Pauline Dilley. Members of the audience all congratulated Pauline, a great contributor to KRMB.

With spring almost upon us it seemed apt to have wildflowers as the theme for the month. With this in mind, Colin then presented a slideshow of wildflower photographs taken over the past few years. These covered a range of flora species including Grevillea, Pimelia, Stylidium, Lobelia, Drosera, Verticordia, Hovea, orchids and others.
