Kwinana Rockingham Mandurah Branch AGM 2019

With our regular Chairperson away, Colin Prickett chaired the Annual General Meeting of KRMB. The minutes of the 2018 AGM were read and accepted as correct. Treasurer Rosalie Barritt then presented the financial report.

With most members of the committee happy to sit for another year there was only one change, with Heather Adamson joining the committee.

  • Chris Punter will remain as Chairperson,
  • Rosalie Barritt continues as Treasurer and
  • Ailsa Rabone as Secretary.
  • General Committee members are Colin Prickett, Pauline Dilley,
    Diana Hitchin and Heather Adamson.

With the formal part of the AGM completed, the remainder of the meeting was given over to members’ presentations. First up was Michelle Mann who presented some great underwater images. These included shots, taken at Rapid Bay in South Australia, of Leafy Sea Dragons and algae. The next series of images were from a trip to Indonesia that included Candy Coral Crabs, Nudibranchs, Anemone Fish, and Psychedelic Frog Fish. Photos of an Orangutan Crab, sea star, shrimps, Mandarin Fish, Lion Fish, Pipe Fish, Scorpion Fish and the side pattern of a sea hare are followed. Others included shots of Moray Eels, Eagle Rays and Manta Rays. Then followed some stunning shots of Orangutans, plus some photos of WA bird species.

The final presentation was by Colin Prickett who showed photos taken during KRMB excursions to Dryandra and the Murray River Houseboats plus some from a short trip to the Stirling Ranges. Photos from the Stirling Ranges trip included photos of a Southern Heath Monitor (Varanus rosenbergi), a Spotted Pardalote and Nectar Scarab Beetles (Phyllotocus apicalis).
