Members’ Night

KRM Branch, 20 April 2026

The April Meeting featured a Members’ Night theme, and several members shared photos of recent sightings.

The first to present was Pauline Dilley, whose photos included some of a red mushroom with white lumps (Amanita muscaria?). There were also some Blue-banded Bees and a small Bearded Dragon that was spotted on Point Peron.

Chris Punter then showed some images from a trip to north Queensland.

Colin Prickett showed some photos taken over the last few months, including some from KRMB outings to Point Peron, Samphire Cove and Bibra Lake. They also included a series of photos showing the life cycle of Shield Bugs (Poecilometis lineatus), starting with mating adults, then hatching eggs and finishing with a nymph shedding its exoskeleton to emerge as an adult.

New members Amanda Thomas and Eileen Liu then shared photos that they had taken during a separate visit to Samphire Cove, as well as some from Bibra Lake.

The audience thanked all presenters for their interesting contributions.
