The NSB held its AGM on 18th December, a week before Christmas. This made for a very quick meeting as attendees were anxious to compete for prizes in the Annual Christmas Quiz and to participate in the Photo Competition (and, of course, to try the numerous plates of Christmas-themed supper).  So, it was no surprise when the outgoing office bearers and committee* were re-elected unopposed, and the meeting was closed by Don Poynton, acting on behalf of Chairman Willy Dadour, who was absent due to illness.

The ten-question, Christmas-themed Quiz resulted in answers ranging from spot-on to so far off the mark that the teams deserved a prize for creativity. The winning team was Jenny Cunningham and Terry Houston, who managed a creditable score of eight and a half out of twelve.

The photo competition was again well supported, with 10 members submitting photos.  Winners of the four categories were:
