One Potoroo is a beautiful book set in WA which covers an important topic. Gilbert’s Potoroos are the world’s most endangered marsupial, and this story is based on real events that affect their habitat. With the gorgeous use of language, it is a great way for children to learn about conservation and wildlife and provides children with a chance to explore new descriptive words.

This book raises awareness of environmental issues, and the role people can play in helping native wild life. This is a lovely book for adults to read and discuss with children.
