Fungi group is organising a Fungi weekend at Dwellingup -15-17 June 2012 at Nanga Bushcamp.
Neale Bougher and the Fungi leaders from the Perth Urban Bushland fungi project will be conducting a Fungi weekend at Nanga bushcamp near Dwellingup. Activities will include morning forays searching for fungi in the area and Neale will be conducting a workshop about the fungi that he is currently concentrating on. We will also have other fungi activities in the evenings.
Anyone with an interest in fungi is welcome to attend. Enthusiasm is the most desirable requirement. Cost will be $70 per person for the weekend and you must book to come. Facilities in the building we have booked include upstairs mezzanine floor sleeping rooms and downstairs kitchen facilities, dining and communal areas all in the one building for us to use. You will need to bring all your own food to cook there as well as a torch, your sleeping bag and a pillowslip. It could be quite cold so do bring enough clothes and sleeping gear to keep warm Crockery, cutlery and cooking equipment, stove, coolroom and freezer, mattresses and pillows are provided and there is wood fire heating in the communal area.
We will be arriving Friday evening, staying for 2 nights, until Sunday afternoon. The facility we have booked is called “the Woodshed” so once on site please follow the signs to this accommodation.
