The topic for the August meeting was Wildflowers and the presenter was Anne Bellman. Anne outlined her introduction to wildflowers many years ago that evolved into her involvement as a volunteer on many vegetation surveys and at the WA Herbrarium. She is certainly one of KRMB’s gurus on WA flora. For the presentation Anne had prepared a poster board of specimens of flora that was currently in flower on her Baldivis property. She also brought along an extensive collection of books on the subject of WA flora. With the field trip for the month being a weekend at Wongan Hills exploring the regions nature reserves Anne had also downloaded a list of the plants we might find during our visit.

To further prepare for the field trip a PowerPoint presentation of some of the flora that had been found at Reynoldson Flora Reserve, near Wongan Hills, during a visit in September 2014 was then presented by Colin Prickett.

Bob and Lynette Goodale rounded off the meeting with a presentation of photographs taken on their recent trip to China. As always, Bob had found some birds and animals to photograph along with the scenic aspects. The audience thanked all presenters for an enjoyable evening.
