Our annual breakfast was again held at the Rockingham Golf Club. The Club is next to the Rockingham Lakes Regional Park, Lake Cooloongup, which is looking very lush and healthy at the moment and kangaroos were grazing on the fairway. There were eighteen of us, including Ann and Otto Mueller who joined us as they do every year. The food was good and plentiful and we were able to choose what we wanted from the menu. As always the company was in good cheer and there was lots of chatter.
Every year an award is made for the KRMB Naturalist of the Year at the Breakfast. The winner is elected by the group and this year the award went to a couple, Margaret and Stan Telford who unfortunately were unable to attend because of flu so it is to be hand-delivered to them at their home. The award is David Bellamy’s boots.
