Northern Suburbs Branch AGM 2017 and Photo Competition

The NSB conducted its Annual General Meeting in place of a speaker for the last meeting of the year and then held a digital photo competition.

Chairperson, Don Poynton reported:

  • Attendance at meetings had fluctuated throughout the year between 13 and 27 with an aggregate of 235 compared with 302 in 2016.
  • Golly Walk attendance had ranged between 5 and 18 and had resulted in several visitors joining the branch.
  • The two talks which tied in with GOLLY Walks –Bush Regeneration after fire/Warwick Bush Reserve and Taxidermy/Visit to WA Museum Collection -were a new initiative which worked well with high attendance at all four events.

Treasurer, Bob Ruscoe reported:

  • Income exceeded expenditure by approximately $507 for the year; this was due mainly to both the 2016 and 2017 member subsidies from the Club being received in the same calendar year
  • The branch had a bank balance of $3,927 at the end of November.

Terry Houston filled the role of Returning Officer for the election of office bearers for 2018. The elected office bearers for 2018 were: Chairperson: Don Poynton, Secretary: Graham Ezzy, Treasurer: Bob Ruscoe, Committee: Barbara Baxendale, Jenny Cunningham, Christine Curry, and Wilhelmina (Willy) Dadour.
